EESTEC

EESTEC (The E lectrical E ngineering ST udents E uropean C Asso iation) is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization that brings together students from related sectors such as energy, computing and telecommunications. This organization was founded in 1986 Eidenhovenā, The Netherlands. Currently, the organization composed of 39 LC (Local Comitee), which has local chapters in each EECTEC from 21 countries and has more than 1,700 members. EESTEC is to promote, establish and develop international contacts and exchange of ideas between the energy and computer science students. Organization's activities are based on skills, enthusiasm, openness and voluntary membership, as well as dealing with members' career development and technical abilities.

The objective is achieved through activities that can be divided into:

Seminars (Workshops)

Seminars are the main EESTEC activities. Seminars usually takes about one week in one of the EESTEC States, during which a series of lectures and practical tasks, which served both lecturers from various European universities, both from the company. Seminar topics are the latest energy and computer science technologies and trends, or the different abilities and skills development. These seminars are also organized excursions and a variety of social activities. It's a great opportunity to improve skills in an international environment. In addition, the same should be borne only travel to the venue because of residence, catering and local transport costs borne by the organizers.

Exchange (the Exchange)

These cultural exchanges of students from different countries to visit any EESTEC Local Committee (LC) to explore and learn about another country's culture and traditions. Exchange students in the course of sharing their ideas and experiences with students in related industries.

Congress (Congress)

EESTEC Congress is the annual meeting, held in one of the local committee (LC). The Congress is attended by more than 150 energy and computer science students who have been in discussions with the Board and all the local committees of EESTEC guidelines for the coming year, as well as being elected the new Board. In parallel, are also organized seminars and trainings.

Traineeships (Intership)

Since EESTEC organization is international and it has a number of international partners, the organization was one of the members of apprenticeship programs. It is an opportunity to pass practice in an international and large businesses, as well as positive co-operation case to get a highly paid job in the industry.

Training (Training)

To be a good professional is required not only technical skills but also other skills, time management, people management, project management, presentation skills, team building, etc.. Therefore EESTEC has created a training program, which trained new trainers so that they can run similar workshops in local and international events.
